Introducing Norman! This is our newest fish. We have owned four gold fish that have not lived longer than 4-6 weeks. We thought we would try this Beta fish and see if we could keep it alive longer than 2 months. Gavin named him/her Norman because he read a book at school about a boy that wanted a dog or a cat as a pet but he only got a fish which he named Norman. Sounds a bit like our family. Wish us luck.

Carson (my baby boy) will be three tomorrow. He has grown up so fast. His curly head and his big brown eyes are so darling. I remember when I was in the delivery room and I had just had Gavin and I knew at that moment that we had another little one waiting to join our family. I was in no hurry to have another baby, but two years later I felt very strongly that it was time to get pregnant. Now I know that Carson was waiting to join his buddy Gavin. Gavin and Carson have become such good friends that I know he was suppose to come to our family to be with Jacob and Gavin. Jacob is such a good big brother to Carson and Gavin is his playmate. I think Gavin and Carson need each other. Carson has some great big brothers looking out for him.
Caron has been my very best potty trainer!! We went cold turkey a few months ago and he was potty trained in one week!! I had heard stories like this but never experienced it myself. Either I have finally master this potty training thing or he was just ready to be a big boy like his brothers. Maybe it is a little of both. Carson loves it when his brothers get home from school, but while they are gone he entertaines himself pretty well. It is fun to have one on one time with him while the others are at school. He can be demanding, he is two/three. But most of the time he is a doll. His vocabulary is amazing and he knows a lot of his colors already. He likes to strike a pose for no reason and he loves to color and play guitar hero. It is so funny to hear him bust out the lyrics to Eye of the Tiger, Rebel Yell and Crazy Train. I hope we are not corrupting him. Anyway, Happy Birthday little man! We love you!

Jacob's 2nd Piano Recital

Jacob did such a great job. He played three pieces that he had been working really hard on. Grandma Wycherly was in town so she and Great Grandma Meme were able to attend. Jacob has a great piano teacher Emily Smith. We were able to have the recital in our home this year which was really nice. Jacob has improved so much this year and he is becomming quite the piano player.

Our New House

We moved in the day after Christmas 2008. We had snow storm after snow storm and spent hours shoveling the driveway of our rental as well as our new house. Christmas morning we were surrounded by boxes, and more snow. As soon as all the presents were opened I continued packing. I remember Gavin asked me why Christmas seemed so short this year. We are very excited to have a more relaxing holiday in our new home in 2009. We had so many friend help us move, it could not have gone smoother. I wouldn't recommend moving twice in six months, but we feel very lucky to have picked up such a great deal. We hope to live here for a very long time.

Gavin's 6th Birthday Party

My cute little Gavin is six! I can't believe next year he will be in school all day. He has been very excited about his birthday party this year. He wanted to go to the bounce house again and he wanted a costume for his birthday again. This year he wanted the real Obi Wan costume from Star Wars. He had so much fun with his friends Tate and Devon and with his cousins Davis and Cater. Gavin has come a long way on his reading this year and enjoys doing art projects in Kindergarten. He enjoys playing soccer, especially because his Dad is now the coach, and he is getting to be a great swimmer. He can swim under water at great lengths and is jumping off the diving board without floaties. Yesterday, he was so excited because he learned how to blow bubbles with bubble gum. He is a very curious boy and has been asking more questions about why and how things work. He is so fun to be around, he always makes us smile. We love our Gavin!
